J.D. Drew is currently making 15 million dollars, A year! That's a whole lot of $$ for one guy, next on the list is Darryl Kile (R.I.P.) he is making 10 million bucks a year, What is this guy thinking? Guys like Olerud,Veres and Roberto Alomar are ageing, soon this guys won't be around to pay, and they'll still be getting paid 10 million dollars a year, AFTER RETIREMENT! Now, you look at this team a little more closely, do you see a resemblence from the 97' Marlins team? Having a payroll slightly above 100 million and win a World Championship, then the next year, drop it all! Olerud is one of those guys that needs to go and find some team who is desperate,you don't need him, he can't produce that well anymore. It's also the small things that matter...They are paying a 32 year old left handed Mop-up reliever 3.5 million dollars a year, trade him somewhere that the other GM doesn't notice, You already have a great bullpen, why pay a guy 3.5 million who posted a 6 E.R.A. last year?</div> </td> </tr></table></body>
